I remember Mom making this all the time when I was little, but I don't think I've had it since she moved to New York. This was definitely my first attempt making it.

The recipe as Mom gave it to me is in bold print, with changes that I made this time in regular print after the original. Any changes for next time will be after the instructions.

Body: I had a medium-bad gallbladder attack last night. I ended up spending several hours laying flat on my back on the floor, because it seemed to be the only position that didn't make anything worse. It didnt' really help anything, but it didn't make anything worse.

Thanksgiving was good this year. We went down to Ron's (Tom's brother's Father-in-law) as usual, but this year Mom & the kids joined the gathering. The kids had a blast playing with Tom's nieces, and Mom enjoyed having the chance to hang out with adults. The food was delicious and plentiful ( Read more... )
